Peter Brown received the Spirit of the Old West Alive award in June, 2010, for his dedication to keeping the old west alive by sharing his life and experiences with the new generations who weren't lucky enough to have lived through the golden age of television westerns in the 1950's and 1960's. Not only did he live that exciting time as an actor in a western, he continues to share those stories with audiences at fan fest gatherings across the country. For this we honor his tireless efforts to keep the old west alive! His life story is just as exciting as can be with genuine love and affection for family and friends as well as a number of Hollywood's elite.

I read this book barely knowing who Peter Brown is and by the end I felt like I knew him well! Witty and engaging its hard to put down, as Alexx Stuart gives you a well rounded sneak peak at life though the eyes of a Hollywood star.

I was a Lawman fan in my teens and it continues to this day!! I am retired and WAY past those years!! I have scrapbooks and other memorabilia from over the years and thought there was not a single thing I didn't know about Peter Brown. Was I wrong!! I thoroughly enjoyed the book and all the trips down memory lane he took. How I wish I could meet him! Thank you for an enjoyable read!

Wyatt McCrea Writes Forward to the Book!

The book is now being edited for final publication and we are pleased to give you a sneak preview of the forward to the book written by Wyatt McCrea.  

"I first met Peter Brown at one of the annual Lone Pine Film Festival
gatherings in Lone Pine, California, where we were both invited
participants. We were staying at the same motel. On the first
evening, I walked out of my room on my way to one of the festival
events when I spotted Peter sitting in a chair under a tree reading
a script and enjoying the late afternoon air. I had never really been
properly introduced to him, so I decided to just go over and say,
“Howdy!” From the moment we shook hands, there was a sense
of instant kinship — that rare kind that makes you feel like you are
in the presence of a family member rather than somebody you just
met. As the sun set over the Sierra Mountains, we chatted casually
about the script he was reading, about “the business,” and about my
grandfather and uncle. There was just an easy feeling about that
meeting; it was as if we had known each other for many years.
Well, from that moment on we became great friends. We have
ridden in the Rose Parade together, been frequent guests in each
other’s home, become business partners, and attend many of the
same film festivals. We even enjoy a bit of Mexican (or Italian)
food together whenever the opportunity arises.
My wife Lisa and I had the proud privilege of being guests at
Peter’s marriage to his wonderful wife Kerstin (or “KK” as we call
her). The way they met and the fact that it led to matrimony is
a wonderful story of the unknown journeys life can take. Peter
couldn’t have asked for a better partner; I know they’ve been a real
blessing for one and other. Also, I think he finally met his match!
Always the consummate professional, Peter has forever been
grateful for his long and storied time in front of the camera entertaining
millions of viewers. His career would be the envy of most
actors. From forming a theatre troupe while serving in the army to
his chance encounter with Jack Warner, Peter’s career has spanned
over fifty incredible years! He has gone from spending many hours
in the saddle on great television westerns to the steamy story lines
of daytime drama to the silver screen starring as a surf idol and a
battle tested soldier, just to name a few. Peter has been one of the
busiest actors in Hollywood! He is always true to the characters he
portrays and has provided us with countless hours of wonderful
television and film entertainment. His is truly a lasting legacy!
After all these years of being “in the business,” having known
and worked with many of the biggest names in the industry, Peter
has now taken the time to share some of those incredible experiences
with you on the pages that follow. I know you’ll be intrigued
and captivated as you explore the life and times of Mr. Peter Brown.
His story is a fascinating journey!
